In 2008 the Hood Museum commissionedPrivate Portraits/Public Conversations”. 51 portraits were painted by Félix, interviewing his sitters while painting them. The process was video recorded. The interviews were exploring the ways in which the portrait subjects have encountered conflict and their journey toward reconciliation. Paintings and videos were exhibited at the Hood Museum and Baker Memorial Library at Dartmouth College during the spring and the summer 2009.
